James Boyle's new book with his congenial IP views free to download
James Boyle has written a new book--The Public Domain: Enclosing the Commons of the Mind--on IP which is notably available for downloading at no cost as well as for purchase in hard copy link here. There is much more to explore at his website, so read the book and visit his website. This is just what is needed to get more people on the side of rational public policy and against the monopolists.

Just so you know, that book isn't "new." It's from a couple years ago, but it's still fantastic. It's also worth pointing out that Boyle is one of (I think) four or five people on the committee over in the UK reviewing copyright laws there. Their report is expected in a few weeks...

Thanks Mike. I hadn't been aware of the book or the website before, so it was new to me, but it adds to the growing chorus of criticism of IP. We aren't going to change the law or practice, until it gets a majority of criticism rather than the constant chorus of "it's property and we have to toughen up enforcement".
